Course Outline
How to deliver an authentic performance in a superficial world.
Gavin will teach you how to find the heart and soul of a vertical story and deliver performances that will have casting directors taking notice and keep producers bringing you back. Microdramas are here to stay and are taking over. How to become a reliable performer in the vertical space.
Course Objectives
i) Script Analysis to identify the story tropes and stakes, recognize and embody the character archetypes.
ii) Scene Study - Practice, practice, practice performances to deliver the goods.
iii) Notes from the field - tips from set and tips from Vertical Stars and Directors
Lesson Structure
- Script analysis to recognize the status of the characters, plot devices and the stakes of each scene and the overall story.
- Movement and Play to embody the characters emotional Shifts and Discoveries.
- Scene Study - Practice, practice, practice performances to deliver the goods.
