James has created a challenging summer course for the enthuisastic actor wishing to dive deeper into the process of acting with in-depth text analysis, character study, and scene study at its core. The 8 week course will demand the actor be prepared to work and apply themselves in class and at home, growing their craft. The actor will learn new skills and have space to experiment and fail (and get back up), work with partners to develop nuance and learn the value of human connection to create scenes and breathe life into the performance.
This is for the actor who wants to zero in on craft and have on going creative mentorship from James. We will sometimes be all process, we will sometimes be all result, sometimes we will only discuss text but we will always be pushing the limits of what we know and can know. This is not an audition class. This is an acting laboratory.
James will consider applicants and making selections based on who he feels will be curious and work hard and with others.
